Reducing costs and carbon footprint by reducing tankering requirements
Event sites produce a lot of waste water but a significant proportion of this water is generated as “grey water” from showers, basins and drinking water stations. This grey water doesn’t contain the same level of harmful components as “black water” (from toilets) but still requires treatment before it can be safely and legally discharged to the environment.
We’ve developed bespoke solutions for filtering, treating and processing grey water (and in some situations, black water) on site and turning it back to usable water. This treated water can be re-used for non-potable purposes for applications like wetting down dusty roads, flushing toilets and in HVAC systems. Any remaining water can be safely and legally discharged to the environment without need for a permit from the Environment Agency (for up to 30 days).
The leftover concentrated sludge can be tankered away for safe treatment and disposal. The average festival’s off site disposal requirements can go from 2+ tanker loads of grey water per day to just 1 for the whole event. This has a significant reduction in emissions, carbon footprint and costs. Making our on-site modular waste treatment pods perfect for event organisers and promotors looking to reduce costs and carbon at the same time.
Our solutions are scalable from just 1 shower through to hundreds of showers and even toilets too. Multiple smaller systems can be deployed around a site to reduce logistical demands within the site and reduce the need for a larger treatement plant area.
We are able to offer bespoke packages from just treatment equipment and facilities through to complete fresh and waste water management services. Get in touch with us today to discuss the requirements of your project and how we can help.
